Our History
We have been an active gaming community, for a decade.We started in World of Warcraft, spending a very happy 6 years there.Our story begins here....In a far off land that the people called Azeroth, a Night Elf named Zotice had a vision. That vision was to create a large active guild, bigger than anyone had ever seen. It would focus on providing events and an overall enjoyable community. It would push the limits of what average people believe a guild to be.He called his vision, Shadow Syndicate.Shadow Syndicate quickly became the largest guild on Moonguard. At its peak, it consisted of 6 different guilds, all joined together with an addon called Greenwall. This tied the chat from each separate guild into one big chat.Our numbers were massive! 6,000 members - 5400 individual accounts.
We had the most amazing, well planned out events - bringing often hundreds to each one.After many years of prosperity, a dark cloud formed over Shadow Syndicate. Zotice was gone. He left this large guild to a panda, called Pannzer.Pannzer gathered the best of the best, to help lead Shadow Syndicate. Together they formed the Shadow Council. A wonderful group of friends, leading an amazing community.After the departure of Zotice, four took the place of one. Pannzer, Star, Shadowvein and Stepnwlf ran Shadow Syndicate with the same excitement and level of commitment.Years went by...After much planning, Pannzer and Star ventured off to start a community in Final Fantasy XIV. The goal was to accomplish in FFXIV what they achieved in WoW.That brings us to present day.Star and Pannzer still head the community, now called Danger Bongos. Be it a bit smaller, due to in game restrictions - the excitement, comradery and the desire to always be better - still exists.For the last 3+ years we have been the #1 Free Company on Zalera for the majority of the time. We are always in the Top 10 for the data center.Since starting the community here we have made some wonderful friends. We play along side one another, day after day. We laugh together, sometime bitch together, tease and joke around. We support each other as best we can.We have an amazing Leadership team that help run the Free Company and its events. Without them - we would be nothing. So a quick shout out to them! cheersWe plan to be here in FFXIV for years to come!Our story continues....Will you be a part of it?
Events
Development and execution of events has always been our strong point.For over a decade we have planned a monthly event calendar with fun, exciting, often needed events for our members to enjoy.We take these events seriously, meaning we do our very best to not cancel an event once it is planned.We value your time.All our events are run by a volunteer group within our community. They donate their time, and love for the betterment of our members.We use our "Fun" events as a way to pay back to the community. All fun events have prizes - from millions given away in gil, to mounts, minions, emotes, mogstation items, bardings - whatever we have, we give back to the members.

Most guilds run a few monthly events.
At Danger Bongos we strive to run events, daily.
We have run daily events for over 10 years.
On our discord we have an event sign up channel, where members are encouraged to read over the details and sign up if they plan to, or might attend.This helps us be sure we have enough staff handy to run the event seemlessly.Mini Games, are games that are run sololy in a discord text channel.These games, typically run for 1 week at a time.
Players can complete the game at their own pace.
They are solo games.Mini Games were developed to provide those players, who might not be on during our prime time events, a chance to take part in fun events, and win prizes
